Pregnant woman crossed 3 rivers for medical attention while the country celebrates 72nd Independence Anniversary in India. IMAGE
India has just celebrated her 72 Independence Day on 15 August. The whole country smiled in freedoms. But there are some who couldn't partake in the Independence Day celebration every year for various reasons.
In 2018
There's one woman, pregnant, in need of medical attention and taken to the hospital in a hand-cart for 9 km, by crossing 3 rivers. For 72 years of Indian freedom, her people hadn't seen a motorable road. They lived in hell. Life's unbelievably merciless in a dogs eat dogs world.
She's from Assam's Majuli, the home constituency of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The same man who got elected to the 16th Lok Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party which currently rules at the center. But nothing changed in a changeless world of pain. And heartless negligence.
The sounds of celebration made her feel abandoned... Others seemed to cheer at her pain. This is a story from a place that forever remains 9 km away from life and liberty... that the free world has forgotten, generations after another. Hell is real – all just beyond 3 rivers.
