My response to this contest is that, as a medical influencer, they can have many followers or viewers as they could when they share medical information on the social media platforms, and I like their information and advice given to people, and I followed them a lot because of their wise counsel on medical matters. However, a medical influencer sharing tips doesn't tell that he or she is qualified to diagnose a patient either in the hospital or at home.

Many patients died by committing themselves to a medical influencer to diagnose them with a sickness that they do not have firsthand experience with, practically as if they were qualified professionals. I am not doubting the fact that the medical influencers can't diagnose but a few of them can advise medically and can diagnose professionally without any issues with the patients. They are both professionals when it comes to medical information and diagnosis.
For instance, a surgeon can perform a wide operation in the operating room and what is required of this surgeon is a qualified professionalism to be displayed for this patient to survive when the operation is being performed. We want to see the well-being of this patient after the operation. At this point in time, information is not required, but professionalism is.
I heard news last year, about a husband rush her pregnant wife to a doctor who was living very close to them, not knowing that this doctor was a quack doctor, probably he had been claiming to have medical knowledge, but he didn't know anything, only to realize that the operation carried out by the doctor killed the mother and child inside the womb. I could term this situation as him having knowledge but not being qualified. Why didn't he tell the husband of this man to rush her to another hospital for the safety of the mother and the child? He vehemently took it upon himself to do the nonsense that he did, which finally led to the death of two individuals at the spot. What a mess.
And as individuals, we should be intelligent enough to seek counsel from a medical influencer and not let them diagnose us to avoid the story that touches the heart.
One of my pastor's wives is a medical doctor, she can diagnose professionally without any problem. One of my church members' children was born without an anus, and this child was taken to the hospital, where they met the pastor's wife. This child was operated on beautifully, and the outcome was perfect. Now, the child can defecate through the anus well without any issues. And the way I used to see this woman, she doesn't talk too much, she doesn't give so much advice like that when it comes to her medical field, her role is to go to the operating room and deliver her professionalism. She is so intentional about what she is doing and she gives her best.
Therefore, there is a limit to trusting a medical influencer and a limit to trusting the medical professionals to avoid problems. And to know the right channel to obtain information and a diagnosis.
