This is about sustainability
No it isnt. Hive and Steem were still running at 10 cents. They can run at 1 penny or at .00001 of a penny.
I disagree with your assertion of people only wanting their speech. I've been running @informationwar for 3.5 years and have been pro free speech for all no matter who. I've also been a heavy reddit Twitter gab minds user. I've been early users to all platforms. Reddit used to be pro free speech and all about it until their original founder died years ago. Twitter used to be pro free speech until Jack changed his mind on that because Saudi billionaires bought huge amounts of stock and hold power over him.
Pretty much every platform you can think of was pro free speech in the beginning amd for years after, only then to be corrupted by greed over ROI, giving returns to share holders, funneling money to rich investors.
As I said, step one towards becoming corporateized was 50 50 curation rewards. The second step is taxes. 3rd 4th 5th step later and you wont recognize what Hive is anymore. Look at Steem, it happened there and will happen here again if we dont stop incremental bad changes
RE: My counter arguments AGAINST adding taxes to Hive, we don't need to move away from Proof Of Brain and towards corporate stocks and ROI greed
