As I promised you in my last silver post, today I have something different from my family heirloom treasury. Not a coin. Not a stamp. Not a jewel!
It's something a bit more artistic!

They are an old family heirloom so I don't know much about their exact silver purity or weight since I wasn't involved in their purchase, which was around 30 years ago I think.
However, the COA on the back does provide some info

So if I get it right, the small metal piece in the frame is 0.999 silver and it has been "painted" with the old method of chromolithography. Here's a link to wikipedia if you haven't heard of the method before.
I did some digging in the internet about similar pieces, looks like there's not a lot out there. And many charge ridiculous prices considering the size of the actual silver. Something in the 50-60$ range seems to be the normal and I even found an Etsy seller charging for a similar piece upwards to 200$, lmao🤣

As you see, surface wise they are pretty small. Don't ask me about thickness and weight, I'd have to destroy the frame to get em out and I have no plan to ever to that.
Ok, that's pretty much for today! Time to hang those babies back to their wall.
