Back with another silver coin from my collection, this time a Belgian 1 Franc from 1914.
A relatively small coin and imo somewhat boring looking piece.

On the front side we have King Albert I and the coin reads:
ALBERT·ROI - DES·BELGES - G.DEVREESE.
for
ALBERT KING OF THE BELGIANS G.DEVREESE.

The backside has the coin value and minting date surrounded by an olive branch and oak branch along with the french motto:
L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE
for
Unity Makes Strength
This coin is almost as big as a euro coin and has 5 g of .835 silver, or 4.17 g of silver. That's about 3.10 $ with today's spot price.

My coin is a bit beaten off, but most details are still visible. Another neat piece of history :)
