Watched the "All Quiet on the Western Front" that recently became available on Netflix this morning on my day job.
This is a 2022 German war film based on a novel by the same name (German: Im Westen nichts Neues) by Erich Maria Remarque that was apparently a big hit when it came in 1929. Never heard of the novel or the author before but the trailer had good vibes and since I enjoy war films I figured I would enjoy it.

Of course, since this was available on Netflix I didn't expect much....
And boy oh boy was I wrong! It was a fucking masterpiece! Definitely the greatest antiwar war film I have ever seen.
The casting and acting is perfect. The visuals and special effects are perfect. The action is perfect. The realism and brutality of war couldn't have been captured any better. And usually these kinds of films revolve around world war 2, so watching one about WW I was a nice bonus as well.
The only complain I can think of is that I would prefer some more character building in the introductory part. But that's just me, and character development isn't the main goal of the film anyways.
American viewers may have problems watching this because I hear they can't follow anything with subtitles, so keep that in mind too if you are one of those retards.
So yeah. One of the few perfect options on Netflix. Although not for the faint of heart! An easy 9/10, go watch it if you haven't!
