However, in Michael Jackson’s case, reality far surpassed fiction—meaning the latter pales in comparison...

We are accustomed to biopics like those of Queen, Elton John, and others; when combined with iconic musical works, they take us on an intense journey that helps us understand a more human story. I believe that is the intention behind films of this kind: to show us who the artist really was and to foster a deeper connection with them...

En la música la tenemos fácil porque es tanta la cantidad de temas favoritos que en reseñas musicales podemos hacer una variedad de publicaciones. Pueden redactarse muchas y otras tantas que están guardadas en nuestra mente y que aún no han salido de la imaginación… Ahora bien ¿Una película biográfica? A lo mejor es un acercamiento, pero no la verdad absoluta de lo que se cuenta, tenemos que entender que Hollywood le añade ficción para poder marcar al público, eso para nadie es un secreto, aunque en el caso de Michael Jackson, la realidad superó con creces a la ficción, esto quiere decir que esta última se queda pequeña…

Estamos acostumbrados a ver biopic como la de Queen, Elton John y otras más que combinadas con las obras musicales más emblemáticas, nos llevan a un viaje intenso que nos lleva a entender una historia más humana. Creo que esa es la intención de las filmaciones de este tipo, mostrarnos y sensibilizarnos con respecto a quien fue ese artista…
