I met Mr. Cool at our local markets recently. His cool demeanour and casual attitude to the interest of people around him suited the nick name I gave him.
He was relatively happy to pose for me but I could tell he was impatient to get on his way and do his own market shopping. ......of the canine kind. He looked quite at home in this busy, bustling atmosphere. After commenting about my observations, his owner told me he comes every week to the markets as he runs a weekly stall.
Well, that explained his cool demeanour and confidence! But what about the James Bond sun glasses? I know many ordinary, bone chewing, lamp post searching, butt sniffing canines are transformed into demanding dog divas by their fashion phobic owners but in Mr. Cool's case it was all about his health. White dogs in particular are prone to get sunburnt especially those with light coloured eyes. Their pink ears and noses need sunblock too as the harsh Australian sun is not choosy about where it sends its cancer forming rays.
Mr. Cool.......simply needs to stay cool if he is to venture outside, and who would have the heart to deny him that? .
