'Klothing & Memorabilia'
This is my entry for the Friday that has just gone, hosted by @dswigle
Yes...….it is a very late blog but I already had the photos uploaded the night before, with every intention to finish the post today but I made the mistake of starting on an art project and the day just disappeared on me and now its Saturday!
Thankfully, Denise is very forgiving re-time lines, so with that in mind, I will forge on and get this finished poste haste.
Let me show you inside this very interesting shop called, 'Klothing & Memorabilia.' I was fascinated by the array of styles and items from a few decades ago which definitely ignited a sense of nostalgia as I began to browse.
Beneath this cool poster you can see the first part of their closing down sale sign. And my visit was pre-Covid so I'm assuming the appeal for this kind of fashion may not be as great as the owners hoped it would be. But the shop was situated away from popular retail shops in an area called Palmview, Queensland , so perhaps this contributed to the poor sales.
However, for lovers of memorabilia and old fashioned clothes, a closing down sale would be a huge bonus.
The red and black colour combination will never go out of fashion. The Liquor Brand is not something I had heard of before and not one I'd generally associate with women's fashion...….but what would I know?
The next three images show a variety of colourful bags.
If this 'cool' hot rod was not for sale I wonder who the lucky kid is that will get to play with this black car with the yellow and orange flames on the bonnet and the bright red wheels?
A pink tricycle for a young girl. Pity that pink number plate on the wall behind it was too big for it.
More fashion items.
Route 66...…..that's a long way from home.
The ideal present for truckies.
Can you read the words on these two Beer Holders? One says,
"I'm the grumpy OLD MAN everyone warned you about."
The other one reads,
"Camping without beer is just sitting in the bush."
Written by a typical, beer loving Australian!
Bar lights $150.00 BUT...…..with 15% off. That's a bargain...…..I think. (lol)
How would you like this Juke Box in your Man Cave or Rumpus Room?
Two more eye-catching posters.
And just look at these bar stools.
A quick look behind me on my way out the door and a 'Thank You' to the shop owners for allowing me to take photos because under normal circumstances they told me it would not have been permitted.
I do hope they managed to do well out of their closing down sale, and I hope you enjoyed browsing with me.
And here is my #alwaysadigital version of the little hot rod:
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
