Not Voting

I  am not voting.  I am boycotting this election because voting is a way  of expressing agreement and support, and I don't think my values can be  expressed by anything on the ballot as effectively as they can be  expressed by my vocal abstention.

Whoever wins will undoubtedly  claim the election results as a license granted by the voters to do a  multitude of unethical things, but the voters never had the right to  grant such license even if they wanted to.  I understand that many (if  not most) voters do not intend to authorize any wrongdoing, and I  support them in expressing their values as best they can through voting or any other means.
