Even if they re-released the GameCube remake of the first game on modern platforms it is surely easier than one might think to do the port and well, it would be easy money.

I have no clue why companies do not keep their catalogs available on newer platforms, if not console, do it on PC. Battle piracy by making these things available and playable. It is not that hard.
