At this point there is not much left they can do within the confines of the engine. Quake now, that has a LOT more potential to do more genres of games and has been TC'ed into many already (Kart racing, third person, a flight simulator, etc). I just hope we get more developers and modders putting their spin on things, even if it has been done before as long as they put their spin on it, fans will come.
