Not that much of a hit around where I live, here in Arkansas. Gaming publications rocked it pretty hard touting graphics and such as a big thing but the demo I played at a local EB just did not entice me away from games like Contra III (SNES) and Splatterhouse 2 (Genesis). Flashback and Out of this World/Another World just never struck me as all that fun. Especially Out of this World where it was very rigid on how you advanced, their way or the highway.
Flashback was interesting but, for me, the gameplay was just too slow paced. Others loved it.
