I think we are seeing a case of trying to penny pinch more than "these would not be possible on the Nintendo Switch". Capcom can make the games available for the cloud then whenever a platform allows cloud play, tada, Resident Evil games.

Write once, er port once, stream everywhere. I mean, technically they could stream them via Roku and get tons of press for that.

Sadly, this is where gaming seems to be headed and I don't like it one bit.
