I am honestly surprised that Nickelodeon didn't forego Netflix and just create their own service, similar to Disney+.
Unfortunately, fans are fickle though. I remember for decades hearing from friends that were paying for cable complaining they wish they could just pay for the channels they want and not have all these others.
For the most part, we now have that, or are in the early stages of it, and people are complaining now about having to pay for this streaming service for these shows and that one for those.
I do see it eventually going that way though. Any company with a decent sized catalog of content will eventually have some form of a streaming service available sooner than later.
Me, I am fine with it. I sign up for the ones I want to support and drop them when I am done watching whatever content I wanted. Some, like Netflix end up being long term for me as there was either a lot of content I wanted to check out or there was a regular stream of new content that interested me.
I see many of these services are not doing things like Netflix, even Netflix has changed for the most part, and they are releasing some episodes each week instead of releasing the full season all at once. This will surely keep people like me subscribed longer.
I wonder how long before fans complain about the release of new shows and content?
