It is understandable if you do not know what Fairly OddParents is. Most likely, you do not have kids. For those that do, Fairly OddParents are probably a show you either hated or loved. Well, get ready because what is old is new again applies here. Coming to Paramount +, Fairly OddParents Fairly Odder is a live action and cartoon mix style show. Think the movie Cool World or Who Framed Roger Rabbit, or even Looney Toons Back in Action.
The show was funny at times, there was a bit of adult humor for, well, adults to catch. The writers probably knew those jokes would fly over the heads of younger fans – much like how Spongebob Squarepants is filled with adult humor.
Well, for one, there are not many shows like this on television now. I know, Paramount + is streaming but it is still offering television style shows versus what we see on YouTube or TikTok.
Being on a streaming service may be the saving grace for a show like this. Paramount will be able to manage who is watching, when, etc. among other demographics. All in real time. This is not available via traditional television options such as Comcast or AT&T DirecTV.
Since streaming services are potentially cheaper to operate for companies versus traditional television, more leniencies may be in place. This also means more ad revenue is kept by companies like Paramount.
All in all, it is unknown if Fairly OddParents Fairly Odder will be a hit or not. Will you be watching this cartoon/live action mixed show?
