RE: Blast Rush LS Launches onto Steam Bringing Bullet Hell Action to PC Gamers
I couldn't do it. I borrowed Ninja Gaiden from a friend for a weekend and I spent most of that weekend watching paint dry on one of my dads 60's Mustangs he was restoring instead.

They also crowdfunded an Atari hat, with tweet speakers in the bill, a watch, and more things over the years. For a long time I was under the impression the new in charge people were simply in it for the

I like Rogue-lite/likes but only in the overhead style, like Diablo. Otherwise I prefer laid out, thought through, levels to traverse. Too many companies use Rogue-lite/like to get around having to put

RE: āEā N O S Lives as Sony Enters The Console Gaming Market
Oh man, God of War is amazing. I remember staring down God of War or Shadow of the Collossus (both Greatest Hits versions) and going with Shadow as it seemed more enthralling. I later corrected that with

RE: General Chaos (Sega Genesis)
Yeah, EA on 16-Bit consoles was unique, especially the Genesis. I think it was the familiarity between Sega Genesis and the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST computers. Developers were more familiar with the

RE: Castle Wolfenstein 3D Demade Using PETSCII
They certainly have talent. This type of thing is not easy to pull off. I tried doing it when I first learned BASIC on the Commodore 64 using the built in graphics, I had no clue they were PETSCII or what

My brother was my source for Commodore mags - Ahoy!, Compute! and Compute!'s Gazette. He would let me read them a few months after he got them when he was bored with them, or had typed in the programs

RE: Advanced Computer Entertainment (January 1988)
I love checking out these glimpses into what gamers around the world were reading back in the day. Being in the USA, I was limited to EGM, Gamepro, Game Players, etc (I didn't get into PC gaming mags till

RE: āEā N O S Lives as Sony Enters The Console Gaming Market
I was fortunate enough to pick up a used 3DO and a handful of titles at that same EB for about $100 in mid 1994. I know what you mean though, that jump from 16-Bit, even Starfox levels, to 32-Bit was

This was a rent then forget for me back in the day. I just could not get into the isometric view of the game, still can't really adjust today to this style. It looks great, looked even better when 16-Bit

RE: My Played Video Games Review: Metal Warriors for the Super Nintendo
I remember reading about pirate copies and hacks that were getting made back then. The gaming mags here would occasionally cover them in heavily slanted towards "don't support this stuff" articles
