RE: GamePro (June 1996)
I need to go back and read magazines from this time as I was squarely in the Gamefan only camp at this time (I could only afford one magazine a month as I was buying so many games). I missed out on a lot

RE: Steel Legion for Nintendo Entertainment System Demo Released
The demo certainly feels like Contra mixed with Metroid a bit. There are bits where you run and gun but then there are parts where that is not the best tactic as the level changes direction and such. It

RE: Turbo Outrun Reimagined Brings Back Classic Arcade Racing
They do me too. I can't play them more than 10 to 15 minutes at a time but that is almost completely fun time spent.

RE: Kingdom Hearts, a wonderful adventure
I remember the first time I played this and how cool it was to see all these Disney themes, characters, etc mixed up and being able to explore their worlds a bit. It was quite amazing. I still have my

RE: Ultraman All Star Chronicle
Seems the PSP and eventually PS Vita both suffered the same fate as Sega's Dreamcast - cut down too soon due to piracy. At least that is what the publishers want everyone to believe. I think it is their

RE: Bagitman, an original arcade game for Commodore 64
Looks like Lode Runner was a big inspiration for this, not a bad thing as I hardly know of any titles in the style of that classic. This looks deceptively easy too - gotta love that about the classics,

Este é um título clássico divertido que eu costumo usar quando estou procurando algo simplesmente "divertido" para jogar. Não quero algo pesado na história ou que exija que eu faça missões de

RE: Retro Review - Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday
Porky Pig is right up there with Garfield as a character I would have very close to the bottom of my list of cartoon characters to license for an action game. 😂 Wonderful review, the game sounds like

RE: Croc Legend of the Gobbos Getting Remaster Release in 2024
I emulate as much as possible. Could be for convenience or it is simply too costly to play an original copy. It doesn't help that a lot of games I cover are simply not available digitally for a platform

RE: 2024-09-07 - HiFind - New Checks - Is post 100% powered up? Is it post from Badge? Beneficiaries? Account Reputation?
Things like this are just one more reason to love Hive. The transparency the ease of use. Wonderful idea here. Thank you for making it available.

I used to help with a gaming publication preservation group called Out of Print Archive. They have permission to release these mags to the public. Last I checked they had quite a few up. I mainly helped

RE: Croc Legend of the Gobbos Getting Remaster Release in 2024
Sadly, I can see that happening. Just look at the dwindling physical game selection at stores over the years. I remember the video game selection for one console being a whole aisle, both sides, at Walmart.

I played Croc for a few minutes at a local EB and something threw me off about it. I think it was the way you moved in the level. I can't remember for sure as I have slept since then. 😂 It looked great,

RE: My Played Video Games Review: The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Super Nintendo
Oh yeah, 100%. I feel the 32-Bit era, outside of Capcom fighters, is probably the low point of comic book licensed games. Even the NES had some amazing 8-Bit licensed games released - Batman, Batman: Return

RE: My Played Video Games Review: The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Super Nintendo
I think comics licensed gaming peaked during the 16-Bit era. I remember all of the hoopla over the Batman & Robin game for the PSOne. Magazines (Gamefan the loudest of them all, as usual) touted the

I have never heard of this magazine. That Batman/Robocop ad looks stylistic as all get out in so many good ways. They don't do advertising like that anymore, shoot probably not beyond 1992 or 1993 as the
