Aloha dear Steemit community!
I actually meant to post a different quote today, but this one recently got a new meaning to me, so I might as well go ahead and talk about that.
You could use this quote as a reference to #fitness goals, which is what I did when I first found it. For example, I wanted to become a better runner, but the time it would take to become great discouraged me.
The truth is, though, that the time passes anyway, so I could either start doing something to get closer to that goal right now, or anxiously keep waiting to magically become better.
Today the quote still has the same meaning but I project the message onto a different part of my life. I've always been crazy interested in people's backstories and psychology in general. I thought about studying it at university once, but concluded that doing that would take way too long.
Now I'm starting to wonder.. Why shouldn't I study a topic that I really care about (apart from the fact that it's really hard to get in)? Just because I "have to" study for a long time to be able to work in that field? If I love studying it, studying it for many years should be a priviledge to enjoy!
