Blogging Challenge - Part 04 - Day 19
When did you became an adult?
Technically I became an adult when I turned 18 (laughs) naah, we all know that, but I understand that becoming an adult goes beyond just an age. And I feel it's very much linked to the responsibility of being an adult.
That if I have to pay for my mobile phone, if I have to contribute to the house, if I have to pay for the gas for the car. I've been doing all this since I was very young, but I think the moment when I really felt the change was when I got my first job. That same month I spent my monthly allowance on clothes. And then I had to go for about a year without going shopping because I went too far.
From here I also stopped asking my parents for money to go out, or for whatever, I covered all my expenses myself (except for the basics, house, food etc). And thank God at the end of the day I haven't had to ask for more.
I understand that when you start to have these changes you realise how little money is worth, or at least how difficult it is to get it responsibly. And it forces us to manage ourselves better and not to waste it on nonsense (the latter is the hardest thing to achieve).
So yes, that was my moment of change, and I don't know if I'd like to go back because it's good to start living on what you build and not depend on what someone else can give you.

Blogging Challenge - Part 04 - Day 19
¿Cuándo te convertiste en adulto?
Técnicamente me convertí en adulto cuando cumplí los 18 (se ríe) naah, todos sabemos eso, pero entiendo que convertirse en adulto va más allá que una simple edad. Y siento que va muy ligado con la responsabilidad de ser un adulto.
Que si tengo que pagar mi celular, que si tengo que aportar a la casa, que si tengo que pagar la gasolina del carro. Todo esto lo fuí haciendo desde muy joven, pero creo que el momento en el que de verdad sentí el cambio, fué cuando me fijaron en mi primer trabajo. Que ese mismo mes gasté mi mensualidad en ropa. Y ya luego tuve que durar como 1 año sin irme de shopping porque andaba me pasé de la raya.
De aquí también dejé de pedirle dinero a mis padres para salir, o para lo que sea, todos mis gastos los cubría yo (exceptuando lo básico, de casa, comida etc). Y gracias a Dios al sol del día no he tenido que pedir más.
Entiendo que cuando uno comienza a tener estos cambios es que uno se da cuenta de lo poco que vale el dinero, o al menos de lo difícil que es conseguirlo responsablemente. Y nos obliga a manejarnos mejor y a no malgastar en tonterías (esto ultimo es lo más difícil de lograr).
Así que si, ese fué mi momento de cambio, y ya no se si me gustaría volver atrás porque es bueno comenzar a vivir de lo que uno construye y no depender de lo que otro te pueda dar.
