Blogging Challenge - Part 03 - Day 06
If you could learn anything in the world in an instant what would that be and why?
Okok, - she laughs - this is going to be interesting.
I think the thing I'm most urged to learn is some kind of martial art, something related to self-defense or wrestling or katare kid type.
Why?
First I would learn it so that I could, without a weapon, or have a lot of strength, defend myself. Without the need for another person next to me to "protect" me. In my country it happens a lot that "women" are called "weak" and cannot defend themselves alone, therefore they go from living in their family home, with their "father" as their protector, to living as their wife where their "husband" defends her... this means that it is even frowned upon when women are not accompanied by a man, be he a father / brother / boyfriend / husband.
On the one hand they are right, because the truth is that most of the time we don't even do exercises that involve a lot of strength and the country is full of crime, and if one doesn't know how to defend oneself, one can have the bad luck of being violated, attacked or worse.
BUT, the truth is that I have never really cared much about what my society says, or the culture I live in, so I would simply like to know how to defend myself, and maybe learn to handle a gun so I can be prepared.
PS: Those who are not Latinos and do not know how to use firearms, here it is more normal than they think, even the one who has less, gets a firearm, that's why one must be well prepared. It is very unfortunate, but it is the reality that we live.

Blogging Challenge - Part 03 - Day 06
Si pudieras aprender cualquier cosa en el mundo en un instante, ¿Qué sería y por qué?
Okok, - se ríe - esto va a ser interesante.
Creo que lo que más me urge por aprender es algún tipo de arte marcial, algo relacionado con defensa personal o lucha libre o tipo katare kid.
¿Por qué?
Primero lo aprendería para poder, sin necesidad de un arma, o tener mucha fuerza, defenderme sola. Sin necesidad tampoco de otra persona al lado de mí que "me proteja". En mi país sucede mucho que las "mujeres" las tildan como débiles y que no pueden defenderse solas, por lo tanto pasan de vivir en su casa de familia, con su padre de protector, a vivir de esposa en donde su esposo la defiende... esto significa que es hasta mal visto cuando las mujeres no andan acompañadas de un hombre, sea padre / hermano / novio / esposo.
Por un lado tienen razón, porque la verdad es que la mayoría de las veces nisiquiera hacemos ejercicios que involucren mucha fuerza y el país está lleno de delincuencia, y si uno no se sabe defender, puede tener la mala suerte de ser violentada, agredida o cosas peores.
PERO, la verdad es que nunca me ha importado mucho lo que dice mi sociedad, o la cultura en la que vivo, así que quisiera simplemente saber defenderme, y tal vez aprender a manejar una pistola para andar preparada.
PD: Los que no son latinos y no conocen el uso de armas de fuego, aquí es más normal de lo que creen, hasta el que menos tiene, consigue un arma de fuego, por eso uno debe andar bien preparado. Es muy lamentable, pero es la realidad que vivimos.
