I did this in 45 minutes, cutting out images into geometry then blocking out the shape using mirror modifiers, solidify and bevel - then quick lighting and material adjustments. It was a lot of fun - I like blocking in #bfa #b3d
Since this is a special community, I have decided to also add up a few more images:
Here is my zany left handed layout for Bforartists/Blender. I find it a lot more balanced, centered and the outliner common actions a lot more at hand. I also feel the properties shelf to the right has a lot less overshoot and centers the view.
