Solo round, had 45 minutes for the initial entry, then I put in another half hour of love. I liked the idea of it a lot, a bit more painterly like vibes - still stuck on my big round sun disc.
As you can see, the world is very different from what you can see - and I used Geometry Nodes to scatter and place a bunch of cards for the dead soldiers. I couldn't quite get as many as I wanted in the image, probably from the scale.. so the image in the competition didn't quite fly. But I liked the style of it so I put in a lot of extra love.
This was the original. As you can see the extra love was purely mostly composite. I also split the blood to another layer so it was not influenced by the light, and added in more. I also cleaned up some things here and there - including color balancing and lighting. Eevee with some composite power is quite useful.
Thanks for watching! I'm nearly getting up to my weeklies, as lately I've been pushing through my archives - shying away from all my most recent work. I am currently in Numero 43, and this is only 31, so I have many more pieces to publish! But let's see if I can sprint ahead and push a few more out. Doing one a week is good fun, but the hardest part has to be actually publishing them to the socials! Though here, I like the most. Hope you will enjoy what's to come.
