Good morning, everyone!
It's been a long time since I joined #MarketFriday initiative by @dswigle, so here is a new post. π
This store was closed when I walked by but the front window had some really cool looking bottles that caught my attention. I managed to take a few shots, despite the light reflections on the window.
Check out the amazing artwork on these bottles: π
This is a local brand from Galicia - Habelas Hailas - and they are quite creative, both in the labels and the tastes. These two liquors are flavoured Strawberry with Agave and the other one is Cream.
The store itself was a pastry / ice cream shop... but the whole display window was filled with bottles. It seemed more like a beverage shop to me. π
The other bottles were also eye catching, even if they were not as funny looking. The bottle on the left is a liquor made from Chocolate and Cherries. It sounds exquisite! π€
Here are a couple more bottles from the first brand. From the looks of the labels, this must be a drink fit to a party! A very lively party! π
Besides the drawings, there were some humorous messages, too...
"Arre-carallo! Levo aquΓ crema de orujo para levantar a un morto e para tumbar a un vivo."
Those who speak Portuguese or Spanish must read this quite easily... and also realise it's not either one or the other language. You're right. This is written in the local language: Galician.
The English translation is something like:
"Oh, shit! I bring here pomace cream to raise a dead man and to knock down a living one."
πππ
To raise the dead? This sounds like a magic potion! π
Lastly, they had some sweets on display, too.
This is a box of Dark Chocolate bits with 75% Almonds, I don't know how expensive that is... but it must be delicious. π
Hmmm, after writing this post, my mouth is watering. Time to go and have lunch!
I hope you enjoyed this little article. Leave a comment down below... or not. As you wish! π€
