Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all!
I hope you are spending a nice weekend! Here is a sunny hot weekend and yesterday me and my hubby went outside just in the afternoon, when the air became cooler, to go to the flea and antiques market. The second weekend of every month there is an interesting flea and antiques market in my city and so we like to go there to browse all the interesting things. Just to know, I didn't buy anything (sometimes it happens 😁), but I enjoyed to see many beautiful things there, included some old drawings and prints made by known italian artists like Giorgio Morandi.
Giorgio Morandi (1890 – 1964) was an Italian painter and printmaker best known for his still-life paintings called "natura morta" of ceramic vases, bottles and other little things that he used to place on a small table in different poses on different fabrics to obtain interesting shades of colors.
Inspired by those prints by Morandi (you can read more info about him here), I painted 3 tiny artworks in my own illustrative style, adding a delicate little plant inside each of them:
They are all tiny oil colors paintings on 200 gsm paper in A6 size (the size of a common postal card) and, like I use to do when I share something new I painted, I took some pics while I was painting one of them so you can see the process too:
I hope you like them!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
