Good afternoon, Street Art Lovers!
I've came across this wall in the centre of Mirandela, right next to the Statue of S茫o Francisco de Assis. It's a simple and yet interesting piece of art which brightens up the grey landscape of the street.
This is my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #68, hosted by @digi-me.
I found it funny that, when looking from this angle, it seemed that the friar was blessing the drums! A bit ironic, since these guys loved silence above all! If someone would use such a drum kit while he was nearby, that person would probably be cursed and called a heretic, instead of being blessed by him. 馃槀
Since he's a statue now, the noise doesn't bother him that much!
There were a couple of vans on the spot which prevented me from grabbing the whole picture... However, there wasn't anything special at the bottom of the wall, just a couple more leafs. You aren't missing much.
Here's a close up shot of the mural, where you can enjoy the details a little bit better. I think the bird with the red cap is quite cute, it's my favourite part of the whole scene! 馃
I hope you enjoyed this piece and the photos! Thanks for your visit... and leave a comment below, if you wish. 馃槈
