An Old Gate Stands Idly as Time Goes By...

Here's my contribution for the #SevenDaysOutside Challenge by @erikah!

Here's a very old gate which has surely seen better days. But now, the poor fellow is almost neglected and it has become tired from the passage of time...

How many people must have walked through this gate? Men, women, young and old, couples heading for their marriages, babies getting baptised... this gate has seen a lot.

But life goes on, people come and go and the old gate remains, getting ever older, waiting for the following generations of humans to do it all over again...

This gate is located right next to the Igrexa da Santísima Trindade (Holy Trinity Church) in the city of Ourense, Spain. This little town to the North of Portugal is very calm and picturesque and has amazing natural hot water springs.
