Sometimes I find myself asking this question, can we really put our trust in friends.? How best is a best friend? How long can a trust worthy friend be trusted?. Is there any limit to trusting a trusted friend?
I once had a trusted friend. When I started having problems in my workplace, I was always confiding in my friend for comfort, only for me to find out at the end from the boss that all my problems was as a result of negative reports from my trusted friend. The boss was filling bad for his actions against me. And he warned me to be careful of friends.
Though in many occasions friends had been so helpful and supportive. They have been there when nobody was there to help. Who is truly your friend?
AND WHAT IS THE REAL MEANING OF BEST FRIEND
One who knows every strong point of you, as well as weak!!!
one who knows every problem of yours.
one who always ready to listen you
one who always with you outside class just because you will be bore there alone.
one who always teases you and you don't get angry and viceversa.
one whom you can call anytime may be day or night
one who always ready to participate in your worst plan.
one who always save you from your parents.
one who cares for you, always thinks about you,loves you and expecting nothing!! ’
It is not easy to define best friends.. Whatever we may say, it will not be enough.. Best friend is someone who will always try to put you on the right path and not encourage you for your misdoings.. He/She knows you from within and is there for you always.. He/She cannot take anyone talking shit about u and will go to any limits to defend you.. It takes a lot of time to call someone your best friend, because an enormous amount of trust and belief goes into such a relationship.

I think this goes different for everyone.
Best friends are rare, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I have never had a genuine best friend before. I always thought certain people were my best friends, but never really were. I'm 21 and in college and yet to still find a best friend.
On the other had, my sister has had a best friend since she was in the 1st grade. She is now a sophomore in college. They have their ups and downs, but she has always been there. And that's a best friend.
I think best friends are real, just some people will never get to experience a real one.

Yes they can be if you and your best friend share same friendship values. But most of the time, this isn't the case. It usually happens that you have few close friends and many friends. It is better to keep it this way because when one day your best friend decides to replace you or leave you, you won't go down the black hole he or she will leave. You will have other friends to fill that hole.
Trust me, it's better to have many close friends than a single best friend. Don't invest all your energy in one person because people tend to leave and replace. Always.
