Task manager is a part of the operating system that helps determine the processes, applications and the status of a running computer or server. The task manager can also view performance stats as well as terminate applications that are non-responsive or cannot be closed using the x on the app.
You can get to the task manager either with right clicking the task bar and selecting Task manager or select ctrl,alt and delete on the keyboard and select the task manager option.
