I cannot predict what a global currency such as Bitcoin, can do for the world. It may ruin economies, increase crime and slave-trading, or simply fail. But I believe it has the potential to help struggling nations keep and use value across borders. I hope that Bitcoin (or an improved Bitcoin) succeeds to bring about a better world.
I think this document is well-written and pretty generous to human values. For example it advocates privacy of transactions that do not cause harm to others. To me this means they value privacy but still believe in respecting good laws or at least protecting the innocent. This is a good compromise between cryptography values of privacy and the need to protect ourselves and others from harm.
I agree that a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin has much to offer the world. My hope is that the poor and underbanked can benefit from reliable money. I have my own version of this or some ideas at koin.tech, but I consider Bitcoin possibly the best solution.
I'm not totally sure sharing currency between nations is desirable, but it would cut out unnecessary exchanges and middlemen. It would simplify many current problems with sending money overseas. The interactions between nations is only increasing and who knows how many loopholes and other problems are allowing money to be lost.
I also think an open system may help the everyday-individual make wiser decisions. This document claims that this new ability to transfer value anywhere is a right to everyone.
