How futile our preparations looks
We study really hard; all those really big books,
and yet when results are released,
we all always stand far from being pleased:
I so remember,
It was november,
While preparing for my last Exam,
I decided I would not cram.
I read as if I could not pray;
I read all night and all day.
And I prayed as if I couldn't read;
I prayed till sweats came in beads.
Finally, my exam day came and I felt relaxed,
it was simple, and I thought I had passed.
But, when the results came,
I had to bow my head in shame.
I became convinced beyond all doubt,
that my real result was sold out.
What then angered me the most,
was that failure came with a cost.
