I understand what you are saying.
My view is that these products, even if centralized, are a gateway to the purely decentralized cryptos. We need onramps to move between both worlds.
Philosophically, as far as finance can be philosophical, I don't think it makes much difference. People became wealthy before there was money. People became wealthy when gold was money. People become wealthy when money was backed by gold. These days, people become wealthy with fiat. And some people will become wealthy with centralized crypto and decentralized crypto.
There is that old saying, "A poor carpenter always blames his tools". We can blame fiat, the government, the banks, and corruption for our money troubles. But, in the end, they are OUR money troubles, not theirs.
We need to be talented at managing money. And we need to be able to pick the right tool for the job, whether it is fiat, crypto, or something in between.
That's just my opinion.
