Basic Requirements To Apply For The Job Of Train Driver

• Matric 2nd Division (Science)
• 3 Years Diploma Of Associate Engineer In Electrical, Electronics Or Mechanical. OR
• FSC (Pre-Engineering) 2nd Division.

NOTE : You can not apply directly for the post of Train Driver. First you apply for Assistant Train Driver.

Training Period For Train Driver

• When you are selected as a Assistant Train Driver after passing the entry test, Interview and Medical exam, Your training period will be started. The training period can be 9 months to 1 year. In training period you will be teach about the locomotive/Train engine functions, Transportation rules, Carriages and Wangons by the instructors of railways.

In this training period, There are some particular sylybus and our trainers teach you in a comprehencive way that you enable to pass the examination. That is your another step towards your destination.

The next step is a practical step, where you have to assist a senior driver for a described period.

Duty Timings

• There is no specific duty times for the train driver / assistant train driver. They are 24 hour employees. They can be called for duty any time in day or night.

Weekly Rest Or Holiday

• There is no weekly rest of train drivers. No gazetted holiday, No holiday on special festivals.

Salary Of A Train Driver

• This is a very famous question that " How much is the salary of a train driver?". In few countries train drivers will be served with handsome salary packag. But in few countries like India and Pakistan recieve a little amount of salary as compared to their work.

Social Life Of A Train Driver

• As a train driver, you are on duty 24 hours. You can be called at any time. So you can not spend so much time with your family. You can not drop your children at school and can't pick them to home.

• You can not train your children as your desire because you can not give them time as they need.

• When you are out of home, The total burden of children their home work, food, prepare them for school only on your wife.

• If there is any issue at your home, You can not come back to home untill the train reached its destination.

• You can not join any wedding, birthday of your friends, Go out with them.

• Total time you will be think about your job.
