RE: Steemit Update: HF21 Testnet, SPS, EIP, Rewards API, SMTs!
Of course I wanted the EIP, that's no secret. It didn't just happen, I pushed it for over a year and finally the leadership of this chain were seeing its merits. Maybe you deem that attempting to have

You seem to be implying I'm lying You absolutely certain you don't have me confused with someone else? May 14th, one of the first things I said after returning to slack chat: I'm happy to test a workers

RE: Steemit Update: HF21 Testnet, SPS, EIP, Rewards API, SMTs!
The numbers around the EIP as well as using the different measures collectively as a package was mostly my idea along with @kevingwong I have nothing to do with the SPS other than I vaguely think it's

RE: Steemit Update: HF21 Testnet, SPS, EIP, Rewards API, SMTs!
I did fight for it. But the conversation sorta ended very abruptly for some reason. I think it was because ned suddenly said he'd support it coming from author/curation because some of the community were

RE: Steemit Update: HF21 Testnet, SPS, EIP, Rewards API, SMTs!
Thank you. Please clarify that I'm not at all insistent on the part about SPS being lowered to 5-7% from 10%. I just think it's prudent to consider, but not a dealbreaker if we start at 10%. I'm broadly

RE: Steemit Update: HF21 Testnet, SPS, EIP, Rewards API, SMTs!
While I'm pro 50/50, I also prefer the downvote pool to be separately delegatable, but that's more about balancing dev costs. I was strongly in favor of most of the SPS funding to come from vesting rather

The idea behind the curve is mostly to bring all profitable voting behavior into the light to be scrutinized by everyone with their free downvotes. The curve by itself is not expected to bring about honest

RE: Secondary Effects
Very well analyzed The examples of the convergent curve should be simple enough for anyone to follow and is very helpful. I'll just add that with 50% curation and 25% downvotes, for every 'abuser' at any

RE: EIP FAQ
You can't see the measures in isolation from each other, they work together. 50/50 on its own doesn't quite get us where we need to be. But in conjunction with free downvotes, poorer quality content will

RE: EIP FAQ
It's not confirmed yet unfortunately I would like the 25% free downvotes to be separately delegatable from upvotes, this partially remedies 3 problems: Insulates smaller stakeholders from retaliation -

RE: A serious attempt at repairing the STEEM Economic Improvement Proposal (eip) for HF21
sure, you want to spread out the superlinearity more have you seen the actual curve? It's more or less doing this and is probably already too subtle I think it does what you want it to anyway, at least

RE: A serious attempt at repairing the STEEM Economic Improvement Proposal (eip) for HF21
I see. It's similar to your other suggestions. Keep in mind that the effect we're looking for is to just deter very small votes that are trying to escape the notice of potential downvotes. We're not really

Thanks appreciate the work you guys do, it's really a no win situation for you guys most of the time I'm optimistic that the EIP will work better than what most people expect, once the dust has settled

RE: A serious attempt at repairing the STEEM Economic Improvement Proposal (eip) for HF21
The n^logn curve seems quite steep in its super-linearity The current curve being considered is (n^2+2cn) / (n + 4c) which seems to be a lot fairer as it has a subtle dent at the beginning and quickly

I see Then I disagree strongly with linear rewards and no curation auction window and full priced downvotes I somewhat disagree with a curation slider too Putting these all together, I'm not at all surprised

Rather than taking the “high road” and leading by example approach, We did come from a place where many, including myself were voting honestly around HF 17-19. But slowly, the broken economy overwhelmed

RE: EIP FAQ
Yes I agree that when SBD goes out of wack but is still internally treated as worth roughly $1 USD, things can get a little out of hand. I vaguely recall that some improvements were made wrt the peg but
