I had been away but not so away this week.
Technically I do not want to as I have some stuff that needs to be completed the soonest but I was forced to do so.
An unforeseen accident happened within our home ( no one is harmed btw ) as liquid got spilled over to the keyboard that I am using when I create content, interact with people, etc. It was a mess and we tried to somehow fix the issue but apparently, the keyboard's beyond saving already.

So when I say solution, I refer to the rice method. in a gist you will have your device be buried in rice and let it absorb all the moisture that it accumulates and voila! It will be fixed again and is good to go. I have done these in the past with my mobile device as there are instances wherein I accidentally drop my phone in the toilet bowl due to some unknown reason.
I have carpal tunnel syndrome btw so I am prone to dropping stuff in my hands that I am holding
So what happened to the rice?
If it is the rice related to the keyboard yes we still washed and cooked it I think last Friday I started soaking the keyboard on Tuesday so it was more than 48 hours. But for the one that had my cellphone, no those are immediately disposed of after usage.
I still tried to use my broken keyboard in the past few days as some of the keys such as num pad are still in tack but for the regular characters asdfghjkl and space, they are a mess. Either it will be a "hit" or "miss" each time that I will be typing something. A short "HAHA" message will be a long-form HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA string unto forever and every time I will be hitting the backspace button and successfully delete it, I will be back again on the cycle of typing the word and it feels like I am in an infinite loop of doing such.
Can't I use my cellphone in the meantime?
Yes and No. Yes, I can but my device is quite a mess too. It lags every time it will be used heavily and the keypads are not as responsive as it was 6 years ago. Thanks to constant dropping, the power button, and the sounds button are also not available anymore and I rely on some of the auto sleep functions for it to be off within 15 mins. There are times wherein I thought that it was completely off but later it turns out that it is not and I am getting some messages that I am spamming other people or a sound from a Youtube video will be played in the background. ( If you are a scaredy cat for sure you will creep in if your device will malfunction but I am already used to it. ) From auto typing, autoplay, and other stuff.
What did I do in the past week then?
I was still busy with other stuff. I am committed to the onboarding process so I make it a point to visit the Illuminaughty ( my secret group as per Adam) and see if any assistance will be needed on my side. Aside from the nominations part etc, there may be some questions that need to be addressed. I was also able to onboard another 3 folks on the platform @aeonian,
@clairicy, and
@cronus.arthfael on the side, and oh boy! having no desktop and keyboard was quite a challenge.
Also, just completed some recording with my Podcast an episode with @dennnmarc About Hustling and Time Management as a student hopefully my Filipino friends will listen and share it too.
And more importantly, I was able to spend more time with my family. As I have shared in the previous blog post I had been spending too much time now in front of my PC. I am able to watch out little one walk and she was fast already! Two weeks ago, I am just watching her and holding her hands while we guide her in the process of walking but now she does not! She automatically goes to the restroom if she felt that there's poop in her diaper which I am not able to notice in the past because I am glued to my computer too.
I now have a new keyboard, that is why I am able to write. I bought it on Lazada last Tuesday as well and arrived last Saturday the package says that it is waterproof but I do not want to gamble.
