For this battle, as it was most likely melee based and Mylor was not an option as earth was out; I chose to pick Brighton Bloom. This was to unlock the dragon splinter for the fight and give me access to Djinn Chiwala and thorns, plus possible give some extra dodge chances with flight.
My startegy was to place a healer behind Djinn Chiwala in case there was a high damage monster off the start, then as most of the mana was consumed i decided the Halfling Alchemist would be a good third position dropping the attack of the lead monster and being able to absorb 2 possible sneaks if they placed one. Lastly I used Creeping Ooze. When in doubt you can never go wrong with dropping their speed by one.
This worked as expected and i won.

Dragon splinter is my favorite splinter as it offers utility and versatility across all battles.
