an experimental photo art display

welcome to the second half of this post. my original idea was just to make a whole bunch of haphazardly arranged bone and flower photos, but half of the photos didn't turn out how i would have wanted, and some other photos seemed to capture the floor. think of this second half as a mini abstract art gallery exhibit.
while i have never considered myself an artist or creative genius, at times my mind will try to fit together random bits; memories or images that drift into my subconscious - dreamscapes for the imagination. mostly I let them drift, and once in a while I gather the courage to put them to form.
the bones and the windflowers were collected on a hike one sunny day, and i marveled at the inherent dichotomy in their symbolism. one the remains of what once was, the other alive and ripe to create new life before passing on. I also liked the white on white, something strange for me because I am a fan of vibrant color.
while i was playing around with the arrangement of bones, I found a hidden layer, something uncovered with the juxtaposition of red string and green ribbon ~ the ghost heart and streams of invisible living blood that course through us, animating our being. and then outside, the windflowers, a representation of that ephemeral spirit within, floating around our organs and bones, bringing us to life.

thanks for stopping by! I will probably need to work more on my photo editing techniques. in the future, I might do another photo shoot with more dried flowers and a different background texture. but knowing how many ideas that float about in my head, I might follow a completely different path. if you are interested, you can catch the first half of this post here
