My verdict is that nature has gone mad! It's gone completely and utterly mad. Along with it, my ducks have decided to go mad. Ducklings in early March? Are you serious? Or is this some kind of stupid joke? Stop it! Today, when I went out to the garden this morning, I saw that the water in the lake was frozen. Sweet ducks, do you know what that means? I'll give you a hint: it means it's not May, it's March! You probably opened the calendar on the wrong month by accident!

Oh well... you can't abandon a chick, especially since I'm not at all sure about the mental capacity of a duck who sat down to brood back in February. Perhaps, of course, she had planned a holiday in May and decided to finish all the chicks as soon as possible. But let's face it, she wasn't too successful. As a result, there is now a duckling living in my house.....
