Hello my dear friends!
Today I found the first chicks in one of the nests. They are absolutely tiny and helpless creatures. Did you recognize them? Of course! These are pigeon chicks 馃槈

As for the second pair, they again lost eggs. Again! For the sixth time! Incredibly clueless parents! I called it "Chornobaivka Syndrome". Have you heard about Chornobaivka? Russian troops showed all their stupidity there. Here is what Wikipedia writes:
"The 2022 Chornobaivka attacks consist of a series of Ukrainian attacks against the Russian-held Kherson International Airport at Chornobaivka which began on 27 February 2022, during the Southern Ukraine offensive of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Chornobaivka, located in Ukraine's Kherson Oblast, has seen a total of 20 attacks on Russian positions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces following a bombing and takeover by the Russian Armed Forces of the town's airport. According to Ukraine, these attacks have resulted in the death of two Russian generals, Andrey Mordvichev of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army on 18 March and Yakov Rezantsev of the 49th Combined Arms Army on 24 March"

This couple with the same tenacity lays eggs and loses them!

And the "Mom of the Year" award goes to the wild duck. She showed herself as a completely independent and responsible mother. All eggs were incubated on time and the chicks are full and well cared for. I hope that in the fall they will go into independent life in the wild. Unless, of course, they get so fat that they can't fly...馃槈
