Hi, my dear friends!
Nature is spinning the flywheel of spring more and more confidently. It is surprising, because today is only the 11th of February. Or is it already 11 February? Whatever the case, the calendar is clearly not very relevant. Actual climate change is the only thing to look forward to. I'm looking forward to spring with anticipation and... some disappointment. Not all the flowers I have sown have sprouted, and some I am not sure will have a positive result. Nevertheless, I already feel some gardening excitement. The most important thing for me now is not to move my plants into the greenhouse too early.
As you can see, there are already green bumps everywhere in the forest. Nevertheless, snow falls from time to time. Sometimes there is even a lot of snow. But the water does not freeze, which means that the temperature remains positive. It's really a real mess! The dogs and I have tried several times to walk in the field, but the seemingly solid ground from afar just falls under our feet because of the excessive amount of water. We couldn't even make it to the woods!
However, my dogs are hard to get upset about little things like that. If the woods don't work out, they are happy to spend time on the sofa. They are much more interested in my presence or absence. If we can't go for a walk - ok, the main thing is that I stay close to them.
Some other plants that I ordered earlier have arrived, but the seller didn't send them to me so they wouldn't freeze on the way. I really don't have room for seedlings in my house anymore and my thoughts go back to my greenhouse. What a pity it doesn't have heating!
And lastly a few words about my birds, it's been a long time since I've said anything about them. Almost all of them, except for one pair, are back in their aviaries. It's really warm enough now that I don't have to worry about them. I decided to wait another week before moving the last pair (hen and rooster) out of the room and into the aviary, they are naked and need the warmth more than the others
All in all, the past week has been filled with work and animal care as usual. War? The war continues. Honestly, I have less and less energy left to react in any way to what's going on. I'm just doing what I have to do.
