I'm afraid. I'm afraid the people can only take so much. I'm afraid that the people can't see the endgame. I'm afraid the people would be engrossed by their pain, emotions and loss and finally say enough. I'm afraid the people will stand up for their rights. Because when they do, then it's all over, they'd be pushed even more, and finally, the people will push back. And once that happens, its going to be an all out war in #Nigeria.
What I need people to understand is, a war in this country means only one thing, the people's absolute defeat and enslavement. A war would take at least 2 to 3 years before a truce would be made, and that is more than enough time for the enemy. All they want is to be able to stay in power, but that can't happen since we're in a democracy.
But in our nation's constitution, there is a clause that legitimizes a pause in democracy for 6 months if any part of the country is at war as at the time of the elections. I'm sure they have an extension plan.

Now, this is their short term goal. If they can just push us, just far enough, then, I mean, we are a proud people, we are going to push back, and that is what they are banking on.

The ban on Twitter is a strategic chess move and I see two angles to it. Firstly, Twitter served as the only weapon the people wielded during the #endsars protest, we were able to get a lot on camera and in the cloud, but see what that got us, absolutely nothing! Even with so much proof!

Secondly, a very significant number of the Nigerian youth utilize the medium in one way or another, both business and pleasure. Taking this away would stir up a good number of people as they clearly see an infringement of their rights and feel belittled by people they really have no regard for.

"The pen or the sword?" The pen has been taken, leaving only one option. Now, the enemy has taken our weapon, and also infuriated us even more, daring a reaction out of us. Killed two birds with one stone... funny because they used Twitter, "the bird app".
The enemy is very smart, smart and organized, and plainly speaking, we are not. A number of people have said "let war come!" I say now, as I have always said, "God, please, let there be no war". People don't know what war is, they are driven to speak, and to act by their current emotions, but even in my most emotional state, I stay logical.
War would give us nothing but pain and grief. We are in a democracy, 2023 is a very long time, but that is something they can not maneuver. They will be gone! But if we, by our emotions and testosterone and myopic view, say enough of this nonsense, and pick up the sword, we would lose the war, friends and family and even worse, democracy and freedom.
I do not want to be misunderstood, I think they deserve the worst, I just don't think we are in the position to deliver that punishment, not as it stands. We are simply unprepared, both mentally and physically. This is the time to strategize, bind our time, have proper logistics, because war, war is the most demanding of all business. May God keep us safe.
