I just finished a 9.257km running that lasted about 0hh:42mm:45ss !
I think I did not tell you, still...
Since Monday this week we are officially in the "phase 2" of the de-confinement process here at Barcelona.
That means that we don't have time restrictions in order to practice individual physical activity outdoors anymore!!!
And so I was planning to go for running earlier after the work but...
Another storm arrived around 17h which spoiled my intentions.
At 19:30h it was still raining, but less so I went out.
By the time I reached "Plaza Espanya" square, which is 1.5 km far from my home, the sky opened and a nice rainbow was forming on top of the hill I was just about to run on.
Yep, today I had planned for a quick run on hills combining 2' fast intervals with 1' slow intervals whatever was the levelling condition.
I set the watch alarm to ring every 1' so.
When I reached the highest point of the hill, around 120m High, the clouds were almost out at the horizon and I had the chance to take this pic in one of my 1' slow intervals... was amazing.
In total have been around 10 times 2'+1' blocks.
On the 2' Fast intervals I managed to run at 4'50"/km on the steepest zone and around 3'30"/km on the flattest areas with peaks below 3'10"/km downhill...
So, more than 5.5 Km of quality run plus warm-up and cool down jog equals to 9.26 Km in less than 42'
An excellent workout despite the weather uncertainties.
Keep on running!
