We have been getting a lot of rain since we moved into June. I prefer the cooler weather for running, but then I am less likely to use our pool. It was dry when I went out this morning. I decided to do my hill intervals, but I am thinking about another workout I could do around the playing fields where I could mix sprints with sessions on the outdoor gym. I will try that when it is less wet.
I have been doing these intervals for a while. On Strava I can see that my best times were six years ago, but I have improved recently. Today I did what I could and two of the five were around 5min/km. That is slightly uphill so I am fairly happy with it. My best times were around 4:30, but I wonder if I can get back to that given I am a bit older.
The watch in the photo had been left on a bollard at the top of my sprint stretch. It looks like the strap was broken, so maybe someone dropped it. A lot of people pass through there. I do not think it was an expensive one, so maybe the owner was not too bothered about it.
As I headed home it started to rain again, but that helped me cool down. I have been picking raspberries from the garden so had some with my granola. There are lots more coming.
