Well, I don't want to exaggerate either, I've done much harder training sessions in the past so this one shouldn't be that important to me...but it's been a long time since I've done long intervals at a good pace and, although they've only been two repetitions of 2000m with a recovery of another 2000m jogging, I have to say that I suffered more than I expected.

Surely, the sensation of hardness is related not only due to the little training I do but also to the hot and humid conditions that we are suffering here...
Also, I have to say that the wind was not in my favor...
In any case, despite being screwed, I'm also quite happy since it hasn't gone bad at all:

  • First 2000m run in 7'50", so, at 3'55"/km pace
  • Second 2000m run in 7'39", at a pace of 3'50"/km

I think I could have done a third rep even faster, but honestly, I didn't have more time today and I didn't want to crash at this point of the year either...maybe leave it for next week.

Note to self: "You are too competitive", my mother used to tell me when I was young...
And I like being one, the problem is that I am not that young to take too many risks, being, moreover, the father of two children. Anyway, I can't help it, I'll compete again...

I keep getting better and, best of all, hassle free!

Further details at my strava2hive@strava2hive post later on.

Keep on running!
