Esta se suma a una larga lista de malas actuaciones del equipo Merengue que viene mucho antes de la cita mundialista y que ya han sido señaladas por varios miembros de esta comunidad en publicaciones y análisis de diferentes partidos.
Esta publicación no pretende analizar la victoria del Barcelona en el clásico del domingo 15 de enero porque varios miembros de esta comunidad se han referido a esto y no aportaría nada nuevo a lo escrito por cada uno de ellos.
La publicación procura hacer un análisis diferente y no tiene mucho que ver con este partido en particular, aunque el guión del domingo se asemeja a muchos de los capítulos vividos por el club Blanco desde hace cuatro meses, aproximadamente, tanto en la liga española como en la Liga de Campeones.

Esta es la mejor posición y la única que ha tenido un rendimiento positivo y estable durante toda la temporada, incluso, cuando su portero titular Thibaut Courtois se lesionó su segundo portero Andriy Lunin tuvo una actuación muy buena dejando, en algunas ocasiones la portería de su equipo en cero.
Para que se tenga una idea de lo anterior baste decir lo siguiente: Si el Real Madrid no está más abajo en la tabla de la Liga Española y logró clasificarse de primero en su grupo de la Liga de Campeones se lo debe agradecer a sus porteros, de manera especial a Thibaut Courtois.
Defensa
Esta es quizás la parte más sólida del equipo (al menos en el papel). Para que se tenga una idea tiene jugadores que no son titulares en el Madrid que lo podían hacer en cualquier otro equipo de esta y de cualquier otra liga del mundo, pero el nivel mostrado, sobre todo, desde finales de octubre deja mucho que desear. Varios problemas está afrontando esta defensa: Desatención en las marcas, desconcentración, pérdida de duelos importantes, falta de salida coherente con el balón y esto ante rivales calificados son errores fatales.

Centro del Campo
La mayor fortaleza que durante años ha tenido este equipo ha sido su medio campo. Tener a Toni Kross, Luka Modric y a Casemiro era una garantía por lo que representaban en ataque, defensa y creación de juego, pero Casemiro no está y los otros dos centrocampistas quizás necesiten menos minutos e ir preparando al relevo necesario que tienen en sus filas.
Este centro del campo está carente de creación de juego, pierden el dominio del área que es vital para organizar el ataque de su equipo y contener el ataque rival, no están contribuyendo en defensa como antaño lo hacían ni se destacan en la salida de balón para crear peligros.
Otros aspectos negativos es que están perdiendo la mayoría de los duelos en el centro del campo, lo que permite que los delanteros y centrocampistas rivales fusilen a sus defensas. Tampoco están siendo el enlace perfecto entre la defensa y los delanteros ni garantizan que los esquemas de juegos planteados por su DT se materialicen en el terreno de juego.

Los partidos de fútbol se ganan por goles marcados y con un equipo que no tiene una defensa efectiva ni un medio campo certero si no anotas tres goles o más como promedio estás condenado al fracaso. Y esto le está pasando al Madrid. Desde el reinicio de las competiciones por el parón mundialista, solamente Karim Benzemá se ha destacado, entre los delanteros blancos.
Ni Vinicius, ni otro delantero o jugador que Ancelotti ubique en esa posición anota. Es lógico que en un equipo donde el centro del campo no juegue su función pasen estas cosas y que muchas veces su 9 titular tenga que salir de su área natural, para crear o inventarse jugadas que puedan generar dividendos positivos.

Hay hechos en la historia que se repiten y quizás estemos a punto de vivir una de ellas. Este autor recuerda que en la anterior incursión de Ancelotti al frente del Madrid este ganó la Décima Liga de Campeones del equipo y tuvo un rendimiento espectacular que le valieron la revalidación del contrato.
