A Necessary Introduction

Three years ago, I began a journey into the unknown, or perhaps a very unknown to me. Being used to Web 2, I had no idea that there was a much more innovative, dynamic, decentralized, and creative universe out there.

I'll never tire of repeating that it's thanks to the young IT professionals who work or have worked with me, and my eagerness to know and learn, that I joined this hive called hive@hive.

Like many, the beginning was filled with a lot of disbelief due to previous deceptions and a great deal of ignorance and uncertainty about what was to come. But we accepted the challenge, and three years later, here we are, standing together with many others, building this fascinating world of ongoing creation.

I'm turning three years old, and I want to share my impressions of what these three years have meant to you within the ecosystem.

Beginning, Stumbles, Falls, and Rises

July 1, 2022, is my birthday at hive@hive, and I must say it was a beautiful start because in my introductory post, I received numerous displays of affection, people who were interested in helping me, advice on how to navigate the ecosystem, and something that made me trust the project: two people delegated voting power (PP) to me so I could publish.

From this beginning and everything that has come since, I must thank many, but theinfiltred@theinfiltred and nony@nony were the ones who convinced me, initiated me, and helped me continue and advance in the ecosystem.

But not everything was rosy, and my first post was muted. The reason? I broke one of the fulldeportes@fulldeportes community rules and posted without taking the authentication video requested by the community. This, far from bothering me, motivated me to continue and demonstrated the responsible nature of hive@hive.

After several falls, I was able to get back on my feet and enjoy all kinds of positive anecdotes, and some not so positive ones, but I consider the balance of this initial stage to be positive.

The first two years

They have been different times and stages. From an economic growth perspective, the first has been the best of all, but the second year has been one of consolidation, the one that has allowed me to continue growing within the hive and the one that has made me mature as a content creator.

Year three

My aspirations remain intact, and I want to continue contributing to the communities, being an important part of the projects I'm invited to, helping others with my posts, and continuing to invest in the future that hive@hive represents.

Celebrating my third birthday

As I did on the previous two anniversaries, I celebrated with my colleagues from the Knowledge Management Department of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology because, in addition to working with me, I managed to recruit three of them to be part of this beautiful project.

In this process, we will share and discuss the challenges and plans we have at hive@hive to promote its growth and development.

What have these three years at hive@hive meant to you?

Constant learning. I've had to study to be able to participate in initiatives, publish content, and use computer tools and applications that I had no idea I could.

The pursuit of personal satisfaction. In each post, I try to leave a message, a mark, a path, and if the comments I receive move my soul, then I feel that all my effort has been worth it.

Emotional well-being. I enjoy participating in initiatives that have to do with the common good, the satisfaction of human beings, and helping the most vulnerable. I believe this is my greatest goal.

Realizing a dream. Publishing on hive@hive is the fulfillment of a dream for someone who dreamed of being a journalist but couldn't graduate as such. But life allowed him to become a content creator, and he can say he fulfilled that life project.

Personal and human growth. Everything I've learned in the ecosystem has helped me improve as a person and grow in my work, because I've been able to apply all the knowledge I've learned in various areas of my professional life.

In addition to the above, I want to express in this poem what hive@hive has meant to me.

THANK YOU

Thank you, hive, for so much love.

For so many communities.

For the beautiful realities.

For the friendship and courage.

Thank you for your heart.

For your humanity.

For that healthy soul.

Thank you for your vocation.

You speak of hive, of HP.

And of creating content.

Of images and sounds.

Of futures and faith.

I will remain in you.

Until the last moment.

Fighting against the attempt.

I will always defend you.

** GRACIAS**

Gracias, hive por tanto amor.

Por tantas comunidades.

Por las bellas realidades.

Por la amistad y el valor.

Gracias por tu corazón.

Por tu condición humana.

Por esa alma tan sana.

Gracias por tu vocación.

Hablas de hive, de HP.

Y de crear contenidos.

De imágenes y sonidos.

De futuros y de fe.

En ti yo me quedaré.

Hasta el último momento.

Luchando contra el intento.

Siempre te defenderé.
