A necessary introduction
The proposed topic is about how I would like to be remembered and I explain why I chose this topic; although I am passionate about all of them.

To be remembered as a good son and a good husband is what I wish because in this relationship is enclosed a possible contradiction that has marked part of my life and that I have tried to solve by following my mother's teachings and sharing with my wife.
The reality is that I could not have children and that raising, educating and taking care of my wife's two children has been a priority in my life because by being a good husband I would be trying to be a good father to them and this would make me a good father. I learned that from my mother and from my walk through life. That is why I chose this topic because it is part of my philosophy of life.

My mother is not here, she left 5 years ago to dress the universe with her light and take care of her family from above. She had six children and with each one of them she had a beautiful relationship that would be enough to write the script of a movie. However, my other siblings always said and still say that I was her favorite son, that she always listened to me and that for her I was always right.

I recognize that the above was true and I am not sorry because parents should love all their children in the same way, but that is not the case. All parents love their children, but there are some gestures, details that make a mother-child relationship more special than another. In my case, I always tried to be the first to congratulate her on her birthday and Mother's Day; my gifts did not go to the most expensive things but to those that touched her soul or pleased her the most.
For example, she preferred almond ice cream to any other gift. This servant saw to it that that was never missing from her gifts. She loved the holidays, even though she did not consume any beverages. This author prepared in detail each of her birthdays, holidays, Mother's Day or other celebrations and made sure that her favorite food and loved ones were always there.
With my mother, I not only learned to take my first steps. She taught me about values, how to treat others, she educated me. She was my best teacher and my best graduation was when she said that I was an excellent son and a good human being.

Because of these things in life my mother and my wife carry the name Estela and when you look up its meaning you realize that it means star, guide and that is what they have been in my life.
I was able to share with both of them on several occasions and I am fortunate to have had them in my life. My wife gave me the possibility of being a father because my organism could not conceive the joy of procreating.
We have been married for 26 years and their children came into my life in 1997, when they were five and ten years old. Today they are two fine men and thank life for the fact that I have been in their formation and accompanied their lives. What they don't know is that I am the one who thanks life for them being part of my life.

My wife says that I am not the perfect husband, but she considers me a good husband who has always loved and respected her, who has taken care of and educated her children and that I have been thoughtful with her.
She always says that on Valentine's Day I give her a poem. That is the truth.
How can I not do it if she is the reason I became a father and she is the love of my life?

That my life is superior and unmoored.
You shared joys with my mother,
You entrusted me with your most precious treasures,
Those beautiful, healthy and graceful children,
Allowing me the miracle of being a father.
