A ideal celebration with music, no alcohol and lots of coffee/#STB Coffee Prompt Week 55
The party would be with a group of my friends, workers and family and I would call it for December 28th. This is the day of the Holy Innocents and, in addition, it is a good pretext to celebrate the achievements of the year to end and the time to set new goals.
I would tell my friends, as a welcome that the party will be original because they will try new cocktails that will be to everyone's liking and that each one had to, at one point of the party, say the type of cocktail he/she was drinking and the essential base of the drink. What my friends did not know was that it was a joke and that the party would be alcohol-free and that what would come out would be a lot of coffee.
Helping me in the activity would be my friend, girlfriend and partner. My wife as a good hostess would be in charge of the welcome protocol and serving the first snacks of the party.
When the party had been going for a few minutes, Roberto, the oldest of the party, asked the following question: "And when will the drinks be ready? It was at that moment that the music stopped, there was silence and I said: I need your attention please. In a few moments we will serve you some drinks and I want your opinions about it.
At that moment the music started playing again and everyone present continued dancing to the rhythm of the melody. At that moment my wife, my sisters and a neighbor arrived and began to hand out the drinks. One said, but this is not alcohol, another one said this is coffee and another one, more excited, said you have taken us for a fool.
At that moment I told them that it was April Fool's Day and that I had promised to play a serious joke on them and have a coffee party to celebrate the end and the coming of the new year with one of the drinks we like the most. I continued and told them: as I know the taste for coffee of the majority and that there are six who do not drink it, we have thought of that and for those who do not drink we have prepared Tea.
Another particularity is that it will not be an American coffee as most of them like it, but it will be combined, I will give them the menu and I will let them choose the cocktail coffee of their preference.
I must say that this has been the day when my four coffee makers have worked the hardest because even Mirringuita, the youngest one, had to help her three sisters to prepare the coffee.
Among the coffees and cocktails prepared were:
- Coffee with cocoa to taste
- Coffee with aromatic herbs
- Coffee with cinnamon
- Coffee with milk and honey
- Coffee with sugar cane guarapo
- Tea with ginger
We put ice, so they could drink them at the temperature they wanted.
When we put out the drinks, people were undecided. I don't know what happened when I left the terrace where my companions were, but when I returned they were dancing, very happy and in chorus they shouted: Happy New Year and thank you very much for the prepared drink.
Something was left pending: That in the next meeting each one bring the proposed name of each coffee cocktail to determine the winner of this suggestive party.
If you made it this far, thank you very much for reading.
Greetings and salutations
