I was lucky enough to be born into a good family. My father, although only standing 5'3" cast a tall tall shadow. He had the heart of a lion and was generous and kind. He was everything you would think a good father could be. I honestly never comprehended just how much I would miss him when he passed into oblivion in front of my eyes. It was a feeling I cannot put into words. Almost surreal; like a movie. As hard as that was to endure I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere but at his side as he left us.

Six weeks later to the day Mom followed her lifelong love and companion. The depth of the pain of that loss is impossible to articulate. All words fall short. Oh, mom I miss you so much. Mom was the most amazing human being I will ever hope to meet. She was beyond funny, hilarious actually. She was a mom's mom. All of my friends called her mom and they would come by to see her and dad long after they had moved away and got on with their lives. Mom taught me things about what it is to truly love a person so deeply you would not think even ONCE about giving your life for them. She was a gifted artist and had a way to make me feel like no matter what horrible thing I was going through that everything would be alright because she loved me and her and dad would help me see my way through it.

Her and dad were almost always on my side unless I was wrong. Then they would let me know about it, believe me! They were the salt of the earth. They would open our home to foreigners and stragglers they met while they traveled the globe, making life long friendships with folks from China, Singapore, Uruguay, Spain, India....the list goes on. They were universally loved by everyone they came in contact with. Again, they were SUCH good people, truly amazing individuals!

I really am not looking for anything here. Please, no I'm sorry for your losses! I have no regrets. My parents were as perfect as you could get and still be human. I have their memories and teachings. I am truly blessed far, FAR beyond what I would have thought I deserved. I cherish every single memory and will have these memories for all eternity.

I am more than fine. I have been looking back at what has happened this year and it has been the worst and best year of my life, both at the same time. Terrible losses of mom and dad while at the same time ludicrous and outrageous success in two of my investments. Permanent and life changing gains on a speculation and massive cash flow forever in the other in vestment. A bittersweet accomplishment at best.

Truthfully, there is no reason for this blog here other than my wish to pay tribute to my parents. I put this here knowing that it will remain on this platform forever and here it will stay, immutable, for all eternity as a monument to two wonderful people who created me and made me who I am today. I owe them EVERYTHING. No granite headstone is enough to come close to fulfill the legacy of Paul and Delores. Something eternal is required.

So you see ONLY a blockchain based tribute like this will do.

I will never speak of this again here. It is my final gift to my parents. In the eternal words of Forrest Gump "that's all I have to say about that."

God Bless you everyone! and a Merry Christmas to you. I hope your holiday season is filled with joy and love, as mine have always been that way, thanks to two wonderful and loving people. My teachers, my leaders, my mentors - the people who showed me what it is to live a full and rewarding life surrounded by people who truly love you.

Thank you so much for everything Mom and Dad. May you eternally rest in peace.
