This is my entry for Qurator's Photo Quest | Wires, hosted by 
Those wires were being used to hang money offerings by the locals for the temple at Wat Ban Den temple in Chiang Mai.
Zooming at the same picture, you can see the money inside the unique envelope that is tight at the wire.
Donating to a temple or other religious place is one way to show the signifies of faith to their religion. They sometimes give money to thank God for blessing them with a good life.It is not necessary or compulsory to donate, but some religions say that the more you give, the more blessings you'll get from above.
